The K2 Quality Awards are in their eighteenth year and the are among the most well respected and longest standing awards in the Accounting industry. QuickBooks Desktop 2020 - An Early Look

Intuit released the 2020 version of QuickBooks Desktop earlier this month. As with prior releases of the application, the 2020 versions of QuickBooks Desktop Pro and Premier and Enterprise 20.0 contain several new features and improvements to assist small businesses and their accountants in managing operations and finances. Software Licensing - Don't Get Caught Barefoot

Software vendors want you to pay for your products monthly. You can see this shift with Microsoft Office 365 and with Adobe Acrobat. The traditional model of purchase the software and paying 15-25% annual maintenance is by and large gone. This isn’t necessarily good or bad, it is just what it is. However, there are some direct benefits to supporting the vendors’ desire for a recurring revenue model. As accounting professionals, one of our duties is to act ethically, and violating a software license agreement is considered an ethics violation.
